This is unbelievable, it gave me goosebumps. The power of the pentatonic scale!

It is astonishing to see how an audience made of regular people (not professional singers) has followed so precisely and assertively this great artist in this little pentatonic game.
It made me laugh, feel good and somehow I felt a sense of union.

Very cool. I yurn for the day when we again decide to look within ourslves to find meaning to life and the universe, a revival of the age of enlightenment if you will. we are remarkable creatures, both inspiring and terrifying, and i do hope i live to see the day where we once again take seriously the questions of "who am i?" and what are humans are really capable of.

" The blues " is also pentatonic , as well as many other styles of music . Leaves more room for imagination . A powerful form of creativity that can cause you to feel latent feelings , and bind people together as groups , and as such is vital to healing and social cohesion . Mr McFerrin is a true genius , well aware of his wizardry . Knowledge that deep can rarely be bought .

Bobby McFerrin has really come a very long way from "Don't Worry, Be Happy". It is great to see that he still makes music that encourages and makes people feel good about life. I watched him on PBS perform "Ave Maria" with just his voice and an orchestra accompanied. He is a tremendous talent.
This clip made me want to research this further in the relation to music and neuroscience.

GodsnLiberals:
Its not the music that affects us, it is the frequencies of the notes, and the arrangement of frequencies.....Because we are essentially energy, which is molecular vibration, vibrating at certain frequencies....If we make music in the higher less dense frequencies it is positive and healthy for our bodies, check out Cymatics. Our molecules can literally be altered by sound, into complex harmonious patterns, that in turn heal us....
