If you don't know Kaki King, you're really missing something. Not only is she a hip Brooklyn export, she can play a guitar like no one since Andre Segovia. She beats and thumps and slaps and strums and picks at strings and frets and wood until her audience is agasp at what they're seeing and hearing. Kaki PLAYS guitar! Check out "Bone Chaos In The Castle" and "Pull Me Out Alive." You'll feel absolute heat and passion blazing from the musician and her instrument. And, now, not only is Kaki King earning fame and critical recognition for her music, she's also pushing her boundaries as an artist and philanthropist with her latest project, "THE EXHIBIT." King doled out twelve guitars to twelve artists with visions of her song lyrics and allowed them to turn each into his own work of art expressing a different Kaki King song title. King will be performing (with pink, painted fingers) at and hosting an exhibit and auction of the art guitars to benefit VH1's SAVE THE MUSIC program this weekend in Brooklyn and all for free. Great role model!
