If the music’s too loud, you might not be that old. Pulsating concerts and constant iPod listening have transformed music into an ear damaging nuisance for all ages.

    • I think it is all about respecting other people's space and the use of head phones! We have very good wireless head phones these days, even with secure wireless connections that filters interference. I use head phones a lot and I keep my volume to the minimum not to damage my hearing power. Now, about music, there are some good songs out there. Lyrics and background musical quality for me I must tell it is really an issue and it is not everything I can take in or through.

    • HELL NO its not the ipods or the concerts. its the DAMN music. music today is all about loud. there is a loudness war going on right now. because of this the quality of music goes down and the levels go up. if you go to a concert, club or just listen to music on you mp3 player from an older artist/band, like PVD or Joe Satriani, you won't damage your ears too much. the mix in older music was designed to sound great when blasted loud, but new music is designed to sound loud at low volumes.

plus how else are you gonna tune out your nagging wife, boss, son, daughter...
