Jack Johnson is Redefining (GREEN) Rockstar Status

jakewhitcomb
A global music tour is (yet another) vibrant stage for getting the word out about global environmental action.

Jack, his recording company Brushfire Records, and hundreds of other 1% Member businesses, commit 1% of their annual sales(note: that's a bunch more than 1% of profits!) to environmental cause groups of their choice through 1% for the Planet.

If you've been to a Jack concert, you've seen the short 1% film on his jumbotron:

Once again, 1% for the Planet is happy to release a short, non-final clip from its upcoming film (a 15-min short that will be released this early fall at http://www.onepercentfortheplanet.org).

Enjoy ; )

    • Do the math before you call it a cop out. Something tells me you ain't been donating 1% of your annual gross income to save the planet. If you make $35,000 a year you would have cut a check for $350 to Heifer Project or something other than a freakin RBO. Did you?

    • umm, yeah, that sounds like more show than anything... i mean that guy has so much money that the whole 1% thing is kind of a cop out
