The comments were mistakenly sent out via the online service Twitter by ABC News' Terry Moran, who had access to off-the-record comments Obama made while being interviewed Monday by CNBC.
"Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a 'jackass' for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential," Moran, a "Nightline" co-anchor, wrote Monday evening.

Not to say that Kanye West isn't a 'jackass', because he is, but I think we'll see a lot more of this from Obama over the next 3 years.
Also, on a more unfortunate note, also plan to see more outbursts from Kanye West.

Posting an off the record comment, now that's journalistic integrity. So the real story is about what we expect of our journalist's and their standards. Any jackass with a computer and internet connection can call themselves a journalist. The definition has become blurred in the information age. So what would you call Terry Moran, journalist or a jackass?

Terry Moran just posted an off-the-record comment online for the world to see. Now THAT'S professional.

How unfair for Obama. That remark was supposed to be off the record. Twitter should not be used for such things.
