My first album was a Peter, Paul and Mary album. I think I was four and I played it over and over again. I knew all the songs by heart and even had little dance routines to go with them. She will always be the beautiful woman on that album cover to me.

My mom played Peter, Paul and Mary on a record player for me when I was a child. Rest in peace.

I remember the very moment, aged 16, listening latenight on my first transistor radio and being mesmerised by the divine harmonies of PP&M -- and like many other mid-teens (and older, I'm sure) falling hopelessly in love with Mary -- a "love affair" that will last into eternity. Their spinechilling harmonies, perfect articulation, superb selection of material, masterful 12 & 6-string guitar combo of Peter and Paul has and never will be equalled.
We've all gotta go, but Mary, sweet Mary please fly back on a jet plane, meet me under the lemon tree and we'll watch the times a'changin. How lucky are the angels to have you in their choir. Mark L from Down Under. - 2 years ago

Thou they didn't write all their songs, she sure as hell song them and did them in many cases better than the original. They were my favorite folk/protest band and I will miss them very much.

Mary used to support our activism and anti apartheid movement in the Washington DC area. She was a great spirit.

I grew up with their music and all of my memories are good ones. Peter, Paul and Mary are legends in folk music and they sang music that touched the heart and soul and always had a message. I am deeply saddened by the death of Mary Travers. She was one of the true great singers of my generation and a beautiful soul.

I have fond memories of seeing Peter, Paul, and Mary perform at Artpark in Lewiston, NY ... a couple of decades ago.
