Glastonbury sells out. Now: Who do you want to see perform?

Blink and you'd have missed out; tickets for Glastonbury #40 sold out on Sunday less than a day after going on sale

Fans of the festival had cough up nearly £200 for a ticket for next year's five day event in Somerset, despite no acts being confirmed in the line-up. But the Eavis family who run the event say they plan to get artists that span the 40 year history of the festival to perform in 2010.

A day on there have been the usual reports of technical problems with the website and stories of some hopefuls who spent hours tied up on phone calls only to be disappointed. Were you one of them, or did you get a ticket?

And if so which bands and artists would you like to see perform in 2010?

    • A lot of people think Mr Eavis has sold glasto out to commercial pop, i think hes just moving with the times and wants to give everybody a chance to see there favourite acts, and not just the "cool" ones.
      i would like to see ;
      Baka Beyond ,
      Muse
      Massive Attack
and Little Boots who was my fav act of last year.

    • So glad I got my ticket. Still have to pay for it despite being a local, living near the site.

Would really love to see Muse or The Killers play again.

    • Bowie played in 2000 wearing the same kit as when he played the festival back in 1971. It looked like an absolutely amazing performance and I've always been gutted I missed it.

He opened with a brilliant version of Wild Is The Wind, which is tough to find on the internet. There's video of it on Youtube but the sound is a bit ropey (Bowie at Glastonbury - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6YTMSXGo-g) so I've linked to a version he did at the Yahoo awards that's very similar to his Glasto one.

I'd love to see The Rolling Stones or Bowie there but the Stones seem like the clincher as they've never played there.

If The Smiths reunited especially, I'd kiss Eavis's shiny bald head a thousand times.

    • Users on efestivals.co.uk are trying to guess who's going to headline on Sunday - the slot normally occupied by legends.

      Here's the top ten:

      Rolling Stones 6/1
      Coldplay 7/1
      David Bowie 7/1
      Muse 8/1
      Prince 8/1
      U2 8/1
      Elton John 10/1
      Arctic Monkeys 11/1
      The Who 12/1
      Led Zeppelin 14/1

    • This means its bound to be another mudbath, whichever Gods control the weather at Glastonbury seem to hate it when it sells out quick.
