According to Pitchfork by way of EW, JJ Abram's buddy, Trent Reznor, is lending his musical talents to an upcoming promo for Fringe. Reznor has revamped the ending track "Zero-Sum," from his 2007 triumph Year Zero.

In it, Reznor huskily whispers catatonic missives, and actually quotes William Bell (Leonard Nimoy), like a recorded voicemail message from the future. The album itself was a concept story of a fascist dystopia rocked by war and strife, and thematically lines up perfectly with where Fringe's narrative is heading.
