    • Coldplay uses many samples of songs, but they always do it with the permission of the song writers, even in some cases inviting the the artist(s) that wrote the songs they sampled to perform with them! The band is successful & when a band gets to be a success, there are always a few people that wish to cause problems for them! I doubt Smith will be able to build a strong enough case against the band, after all the songs he's claiming to have written are older songs & it would make much more sense for him to have come forward much sooner then now!!!
