You can't exactly blame MTV for getting rid of music. How the hell is a tv channel supposed to compete with the internet? iTunes is the main reason this happened.

There has been so little actual music on Mtv in the last 10+ years that they could change their name to the "colostomy channel" and no one would notice (let alone something as minor as a logo change). This coming from a record store owner (me).
