Guns N Roses has received a lot of flak over the years. Many people see them as a "wuss rock" band and consider lead singer Axel Rose to be an excessive personality in the world of music.
The band is very talented however, their music is very complicated and well planned out. Their lyrics are heartfelt and emotional with lots of energy.
The band has lived the "rock and roll" life style and it eventually lead to the break of the bands original members. Axel and his crew still continue without Slash, who went on to join Velvet Revolver as well as forming his own band called Slash's Snake Pit.
Guns N' Roses are best known for their work in heavy rock and metal in the 80's with songs like "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Paradise City" and currently have released a new album called Chinese Democracy.
