Who is that masked man? Mos Def and MF Doom psych out Chicago

Mos Def continues his MF Doom obsession in this clip posted by Stones Throw (one of our favorite local labels). Though both trickster-rappers were billed as peforming together this weekend in Chicago, only Mos appeared to take the stage.
Watch Mos talk about Doom in this clip from Embedded:

i was gonna travel from cleveland to see them in nyc on 1/30 and they rescheduled it. i got pissed because of everything i had heard before with the "imposter doom" showing up and now he reschedules a show only 3 days before. He's probably my favorite mc but i wont be going to see him on 2/26.

HA! you think this is the first time he's done this? I've know of numerous times he's sent someone else to perform in his place to a cd track. The guy at Chicago's show was 5'3'' and Doom is at least 6'

Yeah, I just actually read a lot about MF DOOM last night, and I really lost a lot of respect for the dude. Not only does he shit on his fans like this (since 2007, I believe) but also there's his beef with MF Grimm where it sounds like he just abandoned the dude who helped him get the success he enjoys today.
Don't write off giving your fans the shaft as "villain-style" or genius marketing, and don't ignore people that you've claimed are like a brother to you. Poor form, Doom, poor form.

yea he looked like he was there, a black dude in a mask, but he wasn't. The "MF Doom that was there was like 5'3''. The MF Doom is like 6'. How do I know? I was there, throwing bottles with everyone else
