On April 20, Free Electric State will release its full-length debut through Churchkey Records. The album is the follow-up to 2009’s independently released self-titled EP.

Caress “was recorded and mixed during six rainy days by Jerry Kee at Duck-Kee Studio 8 … in the quiet town of Mebane.”

Churchkey explains with its debut album, Free Electric State “wraps listeners in a tense, yet comforting, embrace. It isn’t a gentle, loving brush across the cheek. It’s a sensually charged touch — the kind brought about by powerful emotion and breathless anticipation.”

The band will celebrate the release of the album with a show at The Pinkhook in Durham on April 16.
