Burning the debut video from Dark Every Day's new 2010 CD release Project Burning. Burning was filmed in the ruins of an abandoned 1930's gas station in Houston's historic 4th Ward, by noted director W. Ross Wells of ZenFilm. The location...from all signs...is used as a half hearted shelter by homeless folks and there was much decoration by underground artists, taggers and an occasional missionary with a paint brush. Footage was filmed on a damp and cloudy day and along with the chosen site, provided a solid texture for Burning, literally setting the stage for the song, by creating an uncomfortable, edgy environment, both symbolizing and complimenting the lyrics. Having filmed throughout the day, the band belted out their hit single Burning until the Houston police forced them to shut down camp. Fortunately for Wells and the Dark Every Day boys, filming had just completed!
