Where Are Our Videos?
It was touted during the Common Make My Day Video Contest--one of the benefits of making a video and submitting it was that it would be a good thing for our portfolio.
Showcase our work.
We made two videos and now there is nothing to show for it. After other assignments,
the video would still be on our channel. After the Common contest was over, our videos dissapeared. Now how can we show to people a demo of our work for a music video?
It was said it would be a chance for our work to be shown,
Yes a winner was picked, that's great-congrats to them. but we still did the work too, many days of work to put together a good video. Now where are they? If not featuring on the Common contest page, they should be on our channel so we can show our work. Just becaue they will be on our pages doesn't mean we won it, it means we submitted something.
How unfair to supress our creativity and contribution like it never existed?
Any contest, any video that we make partially belongs to us, we weren't paid for it.
Now there is nowhere to show our work.
he of course has/got some movies(good for him) + great publicity opportunity and we are left holding a doodoo bag.
that is why now we are cautious about using our precious time for making videos for contests/promotions.
