I wrote this three years ago after attending Live Earth at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford NJ on 7/7/07. It was a great day and an informative day that was actually a turning point for my son who said to me, 'who thought environmentalism could be fun?' ;-) Anyway, I was really impressed with this event and was disappointed to find out I had more than likely missed meeting Al by only a few minutes! It appears he had gone up to the box next to where I was sitting with my son but we had left to get dinner and I missed him in the hallway shaking hands. REAL BUMMER. ;-( Well anyway, this repost commerorates the third anniversary of Live Earth. Did it really make a difference though? I suppose that is all a matter of opinion. Looking at the Gulf and the reports from scientists around the world regarding the Arctic and other climate events today it sadly appears not as much of a difference as it was meant to make. Afterall, the message was geared towards humans.
