Jedward dish on their quiffs, purity rings, showbiz haters and the secret to telling them apart in a recent interview for The Sunday Times. The twins are out promoting their debut album, Planet Jedward, which is currently is the #2 Top 10 album downloads on iTunes in Ireland, and their second single, Blink-182 cover All the Small Things, has the #6 spot on the iTunes Rock Song downloads list in the UK.

On telling them apart…
JOHN: Our voices are different, and I have a mole behind my ear and another by my eyebrows.
On showbiz haters…
EDWARD: Everyone’s a poser and people around us are diva-ish and always telling us what we can and can’t do. Like someone last night was saying that we should read a thesaurus to learn some new words–whatever!
On their signature hair…
JOHN: We never consciously came up with our image. we always had our hair spiked up since we were 12, but it’s got longer in the last four years. Having big hair is better–it’s for our fans. Before we go on stage we have to put on so much hair gel and spray we can’t even breathe.
On girls, girls, girls…
EDWARD: As for girls, because we’re 18, people expect us to be a certain way. But we’re too young for a proper girlfriend. We’re innocent. We ought to get those purity rings. We want to find someone like Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus who are both cool and nice.
On their plot to lose all individuality and become one entity…
JOHN: We share clothes in one bag, and have one phone and computer between us. We share everything.
