According to witnesses quoted in the SF Weekly report, the man landed a few feet away from Swell Season co-leader Glen Hansard. Doctors in the audience attempted to revive him. Afterward, paramedics tried and then abandoned CPR. The show immediately ended.
Billboard has a statement from the Swell Season: "The band, crew and all involved with them are shocked and saddened by the unfortunate events of last night. Their hearts go out to the victim and his friends and family."
The man's name has not yet been released.

I was there. The concert was amazing, then one of the most horrifying things I've ever seen. We all walked out like zombies, not sure what to think or say.

He committed suicide from 3 stories?! Maybe it's just me but I would choose a height that guarantees instant death. There's a lot of room for error in 18 feet. I guess it worked for him though.

This is crazy and very sad... Since I'm told that there were lots of kids in the audience... and I heard some pretty specific stories of fathers trying to explain it to kids. The man was on bail for beating his wife.
So my roommates were actually at that concert. The article says that Glenn Hansard was "bantering" with the crowd, which actually was banter started by my roommate, believe it or not. As such... I got a pretty gruesome description of actually what happened. He jumped right as they finished playing "When your mind's made up". If I were joking, it probably wouldn't be funny, but I'm not... and like I said, the guy was out on bail for beating his wife (and something else). Either way... committing suicide in front of a bunch of children and families at a nice winery in the mountains is incredibly fucked up and selfish. If you want to commit suicide, do it in your own home instead of traumatizing countless others with your selfish and cowardly display. There I said it.
