The internet has opened doors for many people and provided opportunities to connect and share and inform in ways that our grandparents would have never even dreamed of and that many of our parents still can't seem to quite figure out. I am one of those people who is always pushing the boundaries with just about anything that I do. The potential of the web as a vehicle for independent musicians and filmmakers to present their work to a larger audience has held my interest for a while now both as a writer and (more recently) as someone who is actively involved in the world of digital promotion.
On the music charts I see more and more electronica every day, which is part of the evolution of music I suppose. DJ's mixing and morphing and creating music that sells without ever touching an instrument. Then, into this digital stream of 1's and 0's steps someone like Karmina Dai. Someone who isn't afraid to be herself and make the music that is in her heart.
