Kitty Kallen, America's "Songbird" from the World War II era turns 90 today. While England was singing "We'll Meet Again" with "Forces Sweetheart" Vera Lynn, America turned to the talent from Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Ms. Kallen made music with Jimmy Dorsey and Harry James throughout the era and ventured an extremely successful solo career during the 50's and 60's.
