" We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when.
but I know we'll meet again some Sunny day " Her voice
tone was always so unpretentiously sincere & constant,
I don't doubt she calmed the fears of many people during
such a horrible time. - 12 months ago

Hmmm... I think we're getting Vera and Kitty mixed up.
Kitty Kallen is the prolific songstress on the western shore of the Atlantic. Kitty Kallen is a Hollywood walk-of-fame star with many number ones over three decades - the 40's, 50's and 60's. Kitty Kallen is 90.

Yes. My mom was on the Oswego, New York branch of N.Y. Telephone
as the night shift operator, had a busy night on Dec. 7, 1941 connecting
a lot of families when they'd heard the news of the Pearl Harbor Assault.
My mom lived to be about 90. It was only the extreme stress of having to
move at 89 which caused her to have a crippling stoke, which cost her
her will to live. The will to persevere is most powerful and keeps bodies
going long after others have stopped for lack of it. They had the spirit
and with it, the will. I admire them because WW2 brought out the true
Patriotism of that generation. Something that's been blurred a lot since. - 12 months ago

Your mom sounds very dedicated. It's difficult that she was uprooted at 89.
