Introducing the TASER XREP the eXtended Range Electronic Projectile. XREP is a self-contained, wireless projectile that fires from a standard 12-gauge shotgun. It delivers the same Neuro-Muscular Incapacitation (NMI) bio-effect as our handheld TASER X26, but can be delivered to a distance of up to 100 feet, combining blunt impact with field proven TASER NMI.

It's almost as if their creating a "non-lethal" arsenal to arm the police state. Once our constitution has officially been dismantled, including of course our right to bare arms, these high tech weapons are what they'll use to control riots. And oh what a market!

I find its very funny how folks are always claiming police need a non-lethal approach to fighting crime! but with the introduction on a basically nonlethal answer, its instantly looked at as just another violent weapon. Have any of you seen the impact of a 12 g. shotgun slug? I don't think most of you have! I know for a fact that someone hit by one of these "hi-tech" weapons will be much happier when they awake. We have to start looking beyond the us versus them mentality, and start to realize that without the tech revolutions being made by them there will not be an us.Law enforcement is up against a very difficult point in time, so maybe instead of instantly looking at there "humane" advancements in law enforcement techniques as being destructive, we should offer some insightful ways in which we can help with the core problems that they deal with on a truly day to day basis. I'm just sayin what I feel.

I agree with bboywannabe. The reason why we don't fix all those problems is that there is no money in fixing the root problem. If we fixed social, economic, judicial and political problems where would all the police, politicians, business people and non-governmental and non-profit organizations go? All of the aforementioned benefit from our problems.
The taser disgusts me, but this taser gun is even worse. Its the difference between a knife and a gun. With a kinfe its all up in ya face. While clearly a gun allows one to be far away from the action and still influenct the outcome.

I am from Austin, Tx, and we have had people die from cops using their tasers on people. This would be a horrible thing to put in anybody's hands.

You know if they fixed the social economic, judicial, and political issues in this country crime would not be to the point where such extreme defense devices would be necessary if they are even that.
