Muggle Quidditch - WTF?

Clearly bored of stealing traffic cones and sleeping around, these American students have invented Muggle Quidditch - a new sport based around the fictional Harry Potter game. To participate, players have to waddle around with a broomstick between their legs and throw dodgeballs at each other.
The best part is the snitch. In the Harry Potter books, the snitch is a zippy golden sphere that darts around the sky evading capture. In Muggle Quidditch, it's a cross country runner who legs it around the entire campus, on their own, with a tattered flag pinned to their waist.
Do these people not have essays to write or daytime TV to watch?

Of course they have time to play fiction-based sports games... they're students! Apparently there's quite an established following in the Intercollegiate Quidditch Association. And I say why not! It's about time a new sport was invented. I wonder if it would ever pick up enough to have pro-quidditch players.
