Saturday saw hundreds of people turn up in Nottingham to attempt to beat the world record for people dressed as Robin Hood all in the same place, by nearly doubling the previous record of 607.
Led by the town's modern sheriff, hordes of people met up at the city's castle dressed in the mandatory "hat with a feather, a green or brown tunic and trousers and leather footwear."
The organiser was notably impressed with the turnout explaining that:
"The thing about the Robin Hood record is that anyone can take part, everyone is welcome, as long as you are prepared to make a bit of a fool of yourself."
Yep, and we can get involved today without having to wear silly green tights, winners all round!

It would've been cool if they did a simultaneous fund raiser for Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest that is under threat from climate change and other invasive species.
