Flasher student causes international controversy

As we move forward trying to get along, humanity with humanity, it's the little incidents like this which end up mattering so much. I think we can all agree that respecting others' beliefs, even if we don't share them, is the most important attitude to have when trying to get along in a world where viewpoints rapidly collide and even lead to war. For those that would dismiss this incident as "what's the big deal," good for you for not being upset about it, you are the ones who take in stride the bumps and bruises of daily human interaction. But please respect that others may perceive it as offensive, and do not belittle their feelings simply because they do not think as nonchalantly as you do.

but its just one case of disrespect when thousands more go unnoticed daily. why is this such a big deal. it shouldn't be. its about a 4 on the funny scale and about a 2 on the disrespect scale

Allsunday, Indians are very prude and modest, such behaviour is totally scandalous and unacceptable in their culture. The lad showed a total lack of respect for India's culture and mores, what he did was by no means a "little thing" for Indians.

...Okay, so it wasn't very mature, but is this really worth all-out international controversy? And they're actually considering suing him?
