Much akin to those crazy chest-bursting creatures in the sci-fi horror series Aliens, this sharp-shinned hawk was found dying by an Animal Rescue Team. On the way to the vet, it died.
Looking closer, examiners found that a claw of a partially digested songbird was protruding from what is called the hawk's crop. Hawks and other birds of prey typically don't eat the legs of its meals; this hawk seemed to have eaten most, if not all of the songbird and this could have very well caused its demise
