The darkness could so easily have been replaced by another consequence vs. decision scenario...
'Refreshing the dark recesses of the psyche other beers can't reach' as a new tagline?
doubtful

as if when down, ppl wouldnt drink.
we need more direct artsy interpretations of why to drink? specially when about to commit suicide? while listening to one of the few people who ever existed who had a clue about what needs to be done, right? wrong.
wrong message, wrong illustration; right marketing, we are talking about it.sickening system. im switching to grolsch... maybe not

haha! Thats wicked :P
its only using suicide because its a popular thing, and its a decision used to make it look good. It can save your life!
Amazing how someone thought the words were worse than his actions, of which would kill him.

Heineken have clearly acheived what they wanted - an advert so 'controversial' that everyone is talking about it.
Come on guys...

Yeh, I have, and I like it. I just don't think this was it cos it didn't make me laugh, and I have a very, very black sense of humour.

I can imagine the board meeting:
"So, we want shocking ... but not too shocking."
This is to far, it's hard to find even very dark humor in it. I'm all for edgy humour, but I think this ad dwells on the suicidal actions of the guy a bit too much, and possibly trivialises a pretty serious issue.
I like the end though.
