Its one thing to male sure someone is only taking pictures of their own children. I was doing so at a local fair. Some police officers casually walked by and took notice. Wehn they realized I was taking pics of my own child they walked away. A slight inquiry as to what pictures were being taken is no sweat, but to automatically assume that someone is being eprverted is rediculous.... how many children were going down the slide at once anyways???

Hell, if I saw a man taking pictures of little kids I woulda thought "pervert" as well.. just as others would also. But to find out that those were his kids, who woulda knew?

And that's what makes you sick, ignorant and easy to manipulate.
What the hell is wrong with you? Who would've known they were his kids? Anyone that had a fucking brain in their head!
This constructed fear of pedophilia is totally out of control.

Leave the poor guy alone. If he was willing to show the photos that should prove that he isn't a pervert. I can understand people being concerned but when people jump to conclusions without the facts that shows their ignorance. Remember what Felix Unger said " When you asssume things about people, you make an ass of you and me:)

The fear against pedophilia has become so insanely outrageous that this is what people have become.
And the government and corporations laugh all the way. Now they have a perfect enemy to decry whenever they want to engage in some bullshit.
And the public goes right along with it and turns on each other.
When I was a little toddler I use to run around naked sometimes and one time my parents took a picture of me because it was funny. We've become so detached from reality in our society, that today we would be afraid of doing for fear of being considered a pedophile.
At least it isn't that bad here in America, yet.

Like so many people, I love photography! All kinds!(still do some film, how old school) Of course, now-a-days it comes with a risk. Plenty of handheld devices can take pictures and the tech behind it gets better and better by the day.
After 9/11 it became difficult to take photos near public trans( I think people moving about this way is captivating ). With cellphones, it became easier for actual pervs to snap shots up womans skirts or dresses( no more mirror on the shoes ).
This story is sad! I don't mind telling people, who have issues with me taking pictures in public, to "FUCK RIGHT OFF!". Yes this has risk too!( arrest ). But taking a piss in public, in some places, can still have you registering as a sex offender( just ask a homeless person ).
I hope this guy gets some nice enlargements of his family for ALL to see! Nothing wrong here! - 3 years ago

None of the people who complained were men. Would a woman with a camera get harassed like this? Never.
This is pure sexism. Prejudicial anger directed directed against men. And seemingly only by women.
The officials at the park were taking a much gentler stance on this kind of activity, so the infectious anger was caused by some few who are good at creating a scare out of nothing.
Sexism is bad. This stuff is pure sexual harassment. To those few ladies that go off the deep end: Stop. Get some therapy. Seriously.

"You can't take my picture."
"What you don't like it?"
"No. I do not want that picture on your camera take it off."
"You know what I don't like...no no not a question to you, but I have the answer. You in my face with your mephitic breath and disgusting tone of voice. If you don't intend on shutting up. I don't intend on deleting my rightful capture of your down right disturbing rendition of a human being. Good day madam. I said GOOD DAY."

It really says more about the people who called him a pervert. If you stop seeing sex in children, a bathing suit becomes a bathing suit, a hug is no longer a proposition, and a wink is just a child being cute.

abso-freaking-lutely. much in the way that the people that scream the loudest about issues of morality turn out to be the indecent ones (TED HAGGARDY, MARK FOLEY), the only ones who jump to such an extreme is those whose minds are inclined to think that way.

I once worked as a district manager for a large city newspaper. Now of course, my job was to recruit kids to be newspaper boys & girls.
My car had the Newspaper bumper stickers on it so anyone could surmise that I worked for the paper.
I had company-supplied business cards with the newspaper logo, address and phone number and my name and title with me as I talked with the local neighborhood kids....
One day some scared and freaked out parent called my office and my house to complain.
She found out I indeed did work for the newspaper.
Scary that you can be totally innocent, professional and still be accused of anything these days:(

---‘I showed her the photos I had taken to prove my point. Then another woman joined in and said her child was also on the slide and did not want me taking pictures of the youngster.----
HAHAHA...stupidity is contagious.
It hurts the mind to even have to fathom this kind of statement let alone line of thinking.
You won't stop someone from taking pictures of your child if they so deem it necessary to do so. You can pretend you have that kind of power and feel good that you'd make them bleed if you found out, but in reality you have absolutely no power over what someone decides to do with a camera, especially without cameras look today.

It's also ironic that the newspaper reporting this story - London's Evening Standard - is part of Associated Press, which also owns The Daily Mail, a paper that is in no small part responsible for this level of hysteria towards potential paedophilia...
Still, this story is a damning indictment of the way in which society has become perversely twisted.

Here you can't take pictures inside stores because they think you're going to steal secrets of how things are set up. OK if I wanted to do that I'd use my camera phone and you'd have no idea what the hell I was doing.
One time I was taking pictures at random inside a HEB (grocery store here) and I got kicked out. I found it funny that people are okay with stars getting their pictures taken in the most private of places but if you bother those people that enjoy that kind of publicity with taking their photo they feel violated....then they should understand how the stars feel....duh.
