shouldn't the boy blamed in someway, becuase I doubt at his age, he refused to have sex with that girl. He needs to stop acting like the victim and start taking care of his responsiblities

This is kinda funny.

This child support thing is getting to far inside all circles. I find it hard to believe that this was an abuse issue. I mean, look at the Marcus Dixson case, and the Genarlo Wilson case? I think that this has been taken too far out of context to even have come to this sort of conclusion. And too when a child is thrown into the light of this subject matter, chaos is going to almost always break loose. Really now people--birth control--condoms never hurt anyone. So in my opinion, I think that they could have used better judgement before they let a child come into the fold.

yeah, this is pretty messed up. I understand the whole statutory rape thing, and it makes sense that she be punished for having sex with the boy, but I think it's a good idea for the boy to have to pay child support, because i strongly believe that while their sexual acts were not consensual by law, they may have (and i think most likely) consensual between the two parties.

No one needs to be PUNISHED. Judges and Attorneys will make sure some one pays Child Support so they can make their money. The biggest crooks are the Judges & Attorneys. The child should not go to a minimum wage state worker to watch. Let some one that cares for the child take care of it. Courts & the state do NOT care about children.

Does this mean If I get HIV from a woman I rape I can sue her for damages? And expect to win?

Since both biological parents are basically unfit for custody, I'm curious as to how the judge determined that non-adult should be liable to pay child support to the adult sexual predator. Because technically that's what she is in terms of the law.

He's underage and cannot enter into legally binding contract -- he's liable for child support.

She's a sexual predator and got custody of the child (???) and was awarded child support from the person she sexually assualted (as far as the law is concerned anyway).

So wait, a 19 year old girl commits statutory and she gets child support, but if a 19 year old boy commits statutory he gets prison time? Yeah, no, that seems fair. Fuck the guys. The 19 year old chic needs to go to prison and that child be taken away by the state.

Well I just think this is stupid. The "girl" for sleeping with someone underage and the "boy" for not using a freaking condom. If you're going to have sex, be aware of the consequences. It's not that hard.

oh well!!!! the young boy wanted it also. he is going through puberty and took advantage of the situation. the girl oh well same thing for her. it wouldnt be such a big deal if he was 19 years old.
