Most facial piercings are nerdy to start.
Think about it. Somebody who has the bridge of their nose, their jaw, etc, pierced usually works in a comic book store, a hot topic, or the food court at the mall, and are trying to fake a tough-guy persona.
This is like triple nerdy.

Seems like its much easier to take contact lenses in and out than it would be to screw in and unscrew those lenses, plus much less painful while those things are healing.
