Orgasms during childbirth?

"Some women will see this film as a declaration of emancipation from the medicalization of childbirth. Others will see it as yet one more way to raise expectations and make new mothers feel inadequate if they do not experience the “ideal” birth.
The message of the film is “that women can journey through labor and birth in all different ways. And there are a lot more options out there, to make this a positive and pleasurable experience,” Pascali-Bonaro tells ABC. “I hope women watching and men watching don’t feel that what we’re saying is every woman should have an orgasmic birth.”
But the title certainly catches attention, referring to what Pascali-Bonaro calls “the best kept secret” of child birth – that some women report having an orgasm as the baby exits the birth canal."
For the record, i refuse to reevaluate my idea of what childbirth is like and will continue to plan on chainsmoking in the waiting room like any decent red-blooded American man.

This explains the Mormon phenomenon of a woman having a baby every nine months until they have 8 to 10 children.
It is an orgasmic religion that believes God's first commandment given to Adam and Eve was to multiply and replenish the earth. UHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Sorry, just a little rant and a little role playing goin on here.

Having just given birth a month ago - completely natural (meaning no pain relief, no IV, no continual monitoring, no one telling me when to push, etc.) - I can say that I wouldn't describe it as an orgasm, but it ws a euphoric feeling pushing the baby out. The pain just disappeared and I felt elated. That natural rush of oxytocin and adrenaline was the best natural high I've ever had!

Maybe that could be possible if someone was massaging around the vagina and helping it stretch instead to only being there and shouting "push, push!" Only women can tell, we are just guessing anyway!

I suppose that would kind of counteract the pain of giving birth.

its probably a feeling of being relief more than an orgasm. If I had a vagina it'd feel pretty nice that it's no longer being ripped apart

after giving birth to six childern the natural way i assure you that a orgasm was the last thing on my mine. for you men out there think about it. would you have a orgasm if you were pushing a 9 lb bowling ball out the end of your penis? um i think not.

I think some people are lucky to have an easy labor, but I don't think you can have it by orgasm. When that kid is ready (not to be gross) but you just gonna open up anyway. Epidermal or not your legs go numb anyhow and you don't feel much anyway. But they just made it look way TO EASY. Child birth depending on your health can be very difficult.

that is amazing... but I think it must be really rare what with all the pain of childbirth to suddenly have an orgasm. It has a nice symbolism for feminism though.
