A group of London bus drivers will be staging a protest today (August 5th) wearing just their underpants.
In a campaign called "Race to the Bottom" the Union Unite claims that drivers' wages can vary by as much as £10,000 a year - and disparities in other conditions of employment are leading to a damaging "race to the bottom" in service provision.
The drivers will wear boxer shorts that will say "Stop the race to the bottom" during the demo.
It's not quite clear whether they'll be driving the buses in their boxers too - if so, there's likely to be some "One the Buses" style headlines in the press
