exactly what the comment above says.
just because they have heard of them doesnt mean they practice them.im british, male and i havent gotten anyone pregnant so please, dont generalise the population from 1 small article that doesnt even say they practice the methods.
or shall i put up articles about overweight americans? because if one of you is fat you all must be using your own logic.

If you read the comment again, it says that one in five women had *heard* of kitchen items, including bread, cling film and even chicken skin, being used as alternative barrier methods, and *not* that one in five women use such.

Read the article.
It's a compilation of she said that he said that someone might maybe have once heard that she said that maybe he used a kebab.
It is, in a nutshell, nonsense.

Actually, when it comes to sex I've been surprised by some of the things people believe. You'd think since it was one of our most basic functions that everyone should be an expert.

They became so as a result of intensive Americanization.

^Exactly. And over here, we spell it Americanisation. My nieces and nephews constantly watch Disney Channel, it turns them into brain-dead, materialistic, shallow americans. And these are my own flesh and blood I'm talking about. I hate the way Britain is becoming america. Everyone hates america, not just Islamic terrorists, remember that.

If they taught abstinence only, you wouldn't hear about those wacky "barriers". Bread works good, but only if it's pumperknickel. :)

What this segment doesn't tell you is that the question they asked was probably "What is the strangest form of contraception you have heard?".
