How 9/11 affected Anime...more or less

Adult Swim did not show 3 episodes of Cowboy Bebob :
-Sympathy for the devil (Not really related to 9/11 except a guy was shot and fell off of a building)
-Waltz for Venus (Hijacking of spaceship; the main characters easily stopped the perpetrators)
-Cowboy Funk (A terrorist, "Teddy Bomber", has been using explosives in teddy bears to bring down high-rise buildings in protest of humanity's excesses.)
after a few years the episodes were finally showed on Adult Swim, although we could've just bought the DVDs.
Not sure what else happened in anime.

The very first thing I thought when I saw those jets crash into those towers was "OMG!! .................... how will this affect Anime?!?!!?!" Now I know. A little late, but now I know.
And knowing is half the battle.
