A teenage girl has been forced to marry and sleep with her boyfriends father after he handed over the gift of a pig to her family.
The animal was taken as payment and the girls family, of Tongan descent, agreed to handing her over for marriage.
The girls mother and stepfather have since been charged with detaining the girl and of forcing her to be the groom's wife and to have sex with him, according to reports in New Zealand.
