Maybe New Yorkers are just that little bit tougher than us Brits. Have a look at this video and ask yourself if you would be as cool as Mr Nochalance here - if you were standing next to the open tube doors on the Piccadilly Line…
Apparently the doors remained open for two and a half minutes before closing. The NYC Metro officials called the incident "very disturbing". Duh, yeah?!

do you really think they'd be that crazed about it? their probably commuters and its happened before. its happened to me on the metro in Paris a few times.

The doors on the Paris Metro are terrible anyway though, you have to like push some odd lever to get them open...It doesn't seem like it's changed since they were first running. Ah Paris...
