Bubblicious! Free-divers blow air rings in underwater competition

These brilliant photos of free-divers blowing beautiful bubbles at one of the most bizarre underwater competitions to ever have been put on (or so we think).
The photos were taken at the first ever King Of The Bubble contest, which requires contestants to produce the largest, clearest, longest-lasting and most perfectly rounded rings - like smoke rings but healthier...
The competition was held in the deepest pool in the world - a 100ft deep pool (33m) in Brussels - where the divers showed off their skills using techniques similar to blowing smoke rings.
More than 30 of the world's best divers/bubble blowers took part but the winner was judged to be 31-year-old Francine Kreiss, from Hyeres in France, who was crowned Queen Of The Bubbles. Maybe they should rename the competition...
