A 7-year-old Sarasota, Fla. girl was honored as a hero Tuesday by the Sarasota County Fire Department for saving her mother’s life.
She says she tried to wake up her mother, but she wasn’t responsive. Her quick thinking got her mother the help she needed.
“I called 911, but first I slapped her with a piece of pizza,” she tells ABC News 7.
Paramedics arrived on scene and were able to save her mother.
