The Photoshop Law

Image

While America still hasn’t jumped on the bandwagon, the U.K. and France are mulling over the idea of imposing a law stating that PhotoShopped and manipulated images must issue notices disclosing the alterations. This law would mainly affect advertisements.

The purpose, supposedly, is to prevent the increase of eating disorders among women (& men) who see these images as a real-life, attainable body type and therefore harm their bodies in all kinds of interesting ways in order to obtain it.

What do you think about the idea of a PhotoShop law? Overkill? Necessary? Share at the webpage!
