Bottled water = bad for the environment

This will make you think twice before cracking that cold bottle of water. Reuse and recycle people!! Drink tap water and get a brita filter if you really feel the need. I actually decided against bottles of water at my wedding in two months cause of this article.

    • Language warning, as you might have guessed by the name of the show (Bullshit). Interesting investigation into bottled water flavor and preferences.

    • Ok, not all brands are. But 2 major ones are. So not only bad for the environment, but you foolios are paying money for what comes out of your tap for (virtually) nothing.

    • Many reports say that stanless steal water bottles, like Sigg, are far better for your health than plastic bottles like Nalgene. "Polycarbonate water bottles (labeled #7) contain bisphenol A (BPA), which leaches from the plastic even at room temperature and has been linked to chromosome damage and hormone disruption. " Yummy.

    • Interesting. But here in L.A., I've gotten sick twice from drinking the tap water. It's rated among the worst in the nation.

    • Did you know that without Fiji Water we wouldn't have access to Fiji Water? It is sad that a sig % of Fijians don't have access to clean drinking water but its not Fiji Waters fault. The government is the problem there not a company exploiting the countries natural resources for personal gain. right?

    • I love Fiji water!!! or any artesian water for that matter. but mostly Fiji. you CAN taste the difference and it tastes good. people give me "guff" because i'll ask for Fiji water or whatevers cheapest but to me those are the two choices. they may also be giving me "guff" because i'm buying water that costs the same as beer, ouch! The problem is all the non-artesian bottled waters out there and the people like me who drink them (i'm probably averaging 2-3 bottles from the Current fridge a day) and the fact that Brita sometimes tastes bad. not saying it is bad but it doesn't taste right.
but we can't not scold the great Fijian people or those that prefer a quality refreshmen for buying Fiji. It just tastes better.

    • The city of San Francisco is banning the use of bottled water. Our water is so clean, the department of water quality says that it doesn't even need to be filtered.

    • NYC is starting efforts to promote more consumption of tap water instead of bottled water to protect the environment.

    • Andy was on tv the other night, talking about how bottled water was more expensive than gasoline, and how bottled water is "dead" because it doesn't have chemicals or organisms in it that your body actually needs.
