    • Every year in Pakistan there is a huge nationwide religious ritual performed, whereby thousands of goats are slaughtered. As a 7 year old, I didn't understand that my "pet" goat that mysteriously showed up at my Karachi home one day was actually a future family dinner. Suffice it to say, it was a traumatic summer.

    • At the San Francisco Zoo's petting zoo during a kindergarten field trip, I saw a goat eat my teacher's notebook. I was a bit traumatized.
