I thought this film was powerful and thought intensive, as someone who has spent some time doing both crack and heroin every time I see a film like this it reminds me why I stay away from the stuff. I will not lie and say I do not dabble with charlie now and again but I have learnt to know my limits.
Well done to Marvin Lee for staying clean for five years I do not know you but I am so very proud of you I do hope that you can stay clean and productive especially to your family they are the best drug in the world if you get the right family. Good luck to you

Hello! My name is Marvin Lee. I was the junkie dubbed "Tim" in Marco Franzoni's "Angels" production. First things first: Marco, thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing me to me. I love you Brother!
I have been clean, and sober for five years. I have a life beyond my wildest dreams. I have left life on the streets of LA far behind. I have a lovely wife, an amazing three year-old daughter; and more friends than you can shake a syringe at. I am back in the music business, and financially solvent at the age of forty four.
Not to sound crude, but I am; so it will sound that way... You codependent doubters, bewildered-fascist-censorship-fanatics, and illiterate, liberal dullards can feel free to collectively "BLOW ME"!
The ugly truth is thus: I spent seven years on the street in my addiction. I never asked for pity, so when you withhold your "Sympathy" (I believe you mean empathy. Unless, of course, you've personally been strung on junk) I DON'T GIVE A FUCK. I did not need sympathy. I NEEDED help. Was it offered? No. You walked by. You looked away. You tossed pennies, and nickles at me. You robbed me. You kicked me out of your doorways, and alleys. Thank you!
I found recovery in prison. I relapsed. Once. I got serious. I got spiritual. I got well. Simple! Why couldn't someone give me this information sooner? It was not time. My path was rough, and I damaged everyone I came in contact with. I have made these inexcusable insurrections right to the best of my ability. Pain is the motivator for evolution.
This POD is IMPORTANT! Show your children. The truth is far safer than a singing pedophile in a purple dinosaur suit sending out the message to trust everyone!

What make this film interesting is that it is brutally honest, the filmmaker does not pull any punches in the way he presents the film. He does not turn the camera off during these surreal moments when the subject is shooting up in the McDonaldâs bathroom or when the prostitute jokes about getting arrested, these scenes leaves you wondering if it is a joke or is it reality? The filmmaker is incredibly courageous with his art, going the whole nine yards, fully immersing himself in that world. The film begins to feel a bit voyeuristic during the shooting up scenes but the filmmaker does such a great job leading us to this underworld, where you can almost forgive and understand these extremes.

I thought there was a great advert for Mark Ecko''s brand during the segment on "Tabitha". Look in the background while she talks to the camera in her apartment.............

Oh boy was this hard to watch. I watched some scenes through my fingers which were clamped over my eyeballs. I don't think I've seen anything so well depict such true bits and pieces of this sad, sad situation. Bravo, Marco. Bravo.

The bathroom scene is intense - and the entire pod really drives home the reality of addiction. How did this producer get access to the people featured in this piece? It is really striking that they were so open to talking on camera about dealing and buying and fixing - and how heroin has affected their lives.
