i don't think that in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA poverty should be an excuse for selling drugs. you either sell because you wan't the easy way of making money or because you don't have enough to support your habbit.

The meth epidemic is in every city in every state.Having used meth in the past i know what it does to the metal psych and the physical aspects of it.Meth is a bad drug to get addicted to. Having said that all drug sales and use is a direct result of poverty. So they can get the task force on the street and arrest people and put them in prison, but there will be 5 more to take that persons place.Where i live in Kentucky we have UNITE task force, and they say drugs are killing people and ruining lives and yes they are right, but they are only treating the symptoms and not the problem. The problem actually is poverty.People would not be setting up meth labs if they had jobs to support their families, only out of desperation for money do they do this. How exactly does putting someones father or husband in prison actually help?It just makes things worse because now children can only see their fathers from behind glass and their homes are being foreclosed on because the main provider cannot provide. So now we have homeless children. Its a vicious cycle and the only way to stop it is by actually treating poverty rather than getting a drug dealer off the street. We as a community need to help these people and their families get on their feet rather than punishing them for trying to support their families.
