A week or so ago, there was a news article that said that having fat friends means you're more likely to get fat. It seemed like the implication was that your perception of 'fat' changes based on the company you keep. But now, it may actually be that fat people have a virus that they pass to people near them, causing them to get fat! Even worse is that the virus is a pretty common cold virus. Not all infected people will become obese, and only 1 in 3 obese people are infected with the virus, but researchers say they have "strong evidence" of the link between the two. Sounds like custom advertising for stuff like airborne: "stay healthy and stay skinny!"
