    • Al Gore sei die Einzelperson, die weltweit wahrscheinlich am meisten Verständnis für den Kampf gegen den Klimawandel erreicht habe, erklärte das Nobelpreis-Komitee in Oslo am 12. Oktober 2007. Zugleich hätten die rund 2.500 Wissenschaftler des UN-Rates dafür gesorgt, dass eine immer breitere Öffentlichkeit den negativen Einfluss des Menschen auf den Klimawandel verstehe.

      Die Klimakrise sei keine politische Frage, erklärte Al Gore in Washington. "Sie ist eine moralische und geistige Herausforderung für die gesamte Menschheit."

    • ok, i dont want to panic.... but have we reached the tipping point?
      I thought it was an estimated 34 years till the polar ice cap was gone, now it's 23! given that the methane coming from the melting ice is accelerating more melting.... are we f**ked??

      23 years..... i wont even be an old man.
