Its true they were found to help 1 not allow pulmonary or cardiac failure while using the grug and help with the antiinflammaotry and therapeutic ties to cannabis. Like the plant was made to help relax your body in moments of distress.

"We told the police that for every [marijuana] plant they cut down, we would kill one policeman," says Ibtissam, the wife of a marijuana farmer in the village of Taraya.
If marijuana were legal we wouldn't have statements like this and it would take the huge profit out of the equation.
.......the UNDP continues to seek new ways of persuading farmers to grow alternative legal crops, such as plants with medicinal qualities that can be sold to pharmaceutical companies. The UNDP is about to launch a one-year pilot project to grow industrial hemp, which comes from cannabis but does not have narcotic properties.
You can't grow plants with more medicinal qualities than marijuana and opium, can you? What could be better to sell to a pharmaceutical company? Did you know that many countries in Africa can't even get opiates they need? They have chronic, debilitating painful conditions and the strongest thing they can get is aspirin. meanwhile in the US, we get all the opiates that you can throw a prescription at.
Also, there is no reason to stop growing marijuana in order to grow hemp, they aren't mutually exclusive (although you wouldn't want to grow them too close together to avoid cross pollination.) One is great for food, fiber, fuel, plastics, etc and the other has great medicinal properties. Too good in fact, as the pharmaceutical companies might not be able to convince you to buy their next pill. Did you know we have cannabinoid receptors in our body?
