Masdar poised to be worlds first totally green community

Abu Dhabi officials have scheduled the 6 Square Kilometer area to be open in 2009. Their goal is to have a zero carbon footprint for the entire community

    • For some reason Masdar made me think of the 80's ...then I realized that was because it made me think of Enemy Mine.

      Enemy Mine. Great movie.

      Anyways, this all sounds very exciting! I can't wait to see the progress of this initiative.

    • I just can't get over the name of this place. "Masdar." It sounds like a location out of Star Wars. Or Conan.
