    • That gas station is definitely a bit more evolved than the norm. It pretty much kicks the ass of every other gas station around. The renovated spa bathroom alone puts it lightyears away from other gas stations. And i like the solar panel practice, and the futuristic look of the gas station dome-i-ness all lit up on its solar energy. Say what? Open-mic nite? That definitely goes above and beyond my vision of what a gas station can be.. But why not? Overall, I like the concept, if even from just an aesthetic feel-good perspective.

P.S. What are the sustainable alternatives to gas? The currently available ones and the hopefully available ones in the future?

    • What scumbags, there using this whole "green" thing to sell a product that is destroying the planet. Oil is playing a large part in global warming, as well as a large part in global conflict, just to make some money.

    • Even though BP is a gas station not "green" as a company they have really moved forward with future concepts even up to a year now iv seen solar panels on alot of the bp stations in my area, orlando..... so as a company, good job !

    • On one hand I find it difficult not to be impressed. This is a start. There are many ideas out there about how to be greener but how many can actually be integrated into existing communities right now?
Logicly I know that the main goal of any componey is to earn a profit. It's imposible for a componey to grow and or adapt with out earning a profit of some kind.
So I think that it is great that someone can step up to the plate and say "Hey we know we're not there yet but we're not willing to sit around and do nothing." It's very upfront!

    • Repackaging poison in a pretty green bottle doesn't make it any less deadly...Not that building green isn't laudable, but don't be fooled....their goal is to make as much money as possible...period. Of course they're looking for alternative energy sources...When the current resource they control now dries up, they want to be sure they make as much money possible on the next resource. CEO's are LEGALLY responsible for the bottom line of a company and if they choose social good over the bottom line they are fired. Simple as that...and until they make EVERY station from recycled materials & power them with solar, you can rest assured it's just a marketing ploy to brighten their image and get your money....

    • Hey guys, I have to tell you that this video amounts to an ad for BP. And it was immediately followed by an ad for GE - a mega-energy company in alliance with BP.

Please take care not to become another shill for big business!

    • What is the incentive for BP? Are they looking for a niche in contrast to the ExxonMobil & Shell when it comes to appearing green or getting extra gov't handouts (some call them grants or tax breaks). What's the news analysis here?

    • Open mic night at a gas station? That bathroom looked awesome! Since the whole point is to be green, I won't take a road trip specifically to check it out, but I will definitely swing by next time I'm in LA. Anyone know where it is?
