If it helps recycle more, I'm all for it. However how do YOU know what rubbish to put in what bins? I've been told of some people being given a fine for NOT recycling... Common sense aside I feel that people need to be educated a little more on what items to recycle. I also smell a little bit of big brother.. I mean at least let residents know when you fit their bins with chips.. right?

Magazines count as paper. When they are processed a lot of the dyes, glue, staples and other bits get taken out through a combination of washing, centrifugal spinners and magnets as they become post consumer recycled paper.
If you ever want to read a great book on garbage, it would be Garbage Land by Elizabeth Royt.

Education can be one of the most important tools we have. So can someone tell me, what do I do with a Pizza Box? Does it go into the Blue Recycle Bin, or if it is soiled do I put it into the Green Compost Bin?
