Hunting and the environment

schroederlisa
This is a story about how hunting helps manage and conserve the environment. Although many people not familiar with hunting may have preconceived notions about it, hunting is actually very positive for the environment. And now that hunting is on the decline, what does that mean for the future of conservation? Lisa Schroeder reports on this issue from Maine.

    • Hunting is harmful?????
That is a very interesting view "coolmtnman" has and actually is about the farthest from the truth you can get. I would do some research on your states wildlife conservation and see where all the funding for your wildlife reserves and research come from, you will be surprised to find its actually those "pussy humans" that provide the money and organization for animals to flourish in your state.

there was just a report in the local paper about a lot of deer around dying from disease
the only predators that can cull sick and weak are real predators, not the pussy humans that call themselves "sportsmen"
bring back the wolf, they did in NC it's called the Red Wolf recovery program

    • An interesting perspective on hunting. I'm not sure I buy it though... how significantly does hunting offset environmental problems? Compared to other measures we could take?
