241 Foothill South Toll Road

mattchenot
The TCA (Transportation Corridor Agencies) plan to build the last leg of the toll road system (241 Foothill South) but are constantly challenged by numerous foundations including the Surfrider Foundation in belief that the road could have significant effects on the natrual enviroment and the world class wave at Trestles Beach. (For more info on the subject go to http://www.ftcsouth.com/home/index.asp for the TCA's info and http://www.surfrider.org/savetrestles/ for the Surfriders info, READ BOTH and decide for your self.)

    • Great piece! Hot debate and nice to hear both sides of the story. I've been following this debate closely for some time now and I'm strongly against it being built...

The habitat, air, noise and visual pollution is just too steep.. but hell if it eleviates a bit of traffic congestion, and potentially leads onto higher taxes for the locals, hell why not do it, f*** the consequences?! :/

P.S. Loved the drunken, ranting guy at the end, made me laugh! :)

    • You have a lot of beautiful shots, and the topic is interesting but I think if you developed one or two characters (maybe from either side of the argument) it would have been more powerful. Also, it should be shorter.

    • Nicely done. Please don't end it on "and I'm drinking a bottle of wine," end it on the cars speeding on freeway at night. You had me emotionally there, until the end, but the last interview didn't ad anything for me and was a sour note to end on. In any case, very good production and beautiful camera work. Not so sure about the music.
